Humanscapes

Dreams of the unconscious are mirrored in a dark universe. The lonely moon maiden floating without direction, a man caught in a vortex, spinning weightlessly in the upper regions of the ether.
All and nothing is possible.
Figures appear in the imagination and are transformed onto canvas without geographical context or time reference.
No time, no place.
Image translates to a state of being where internal emotions are revealed. They exist, not in any literal sense, but true in their ability to call up memory or feeling long forgotten.
Meditative and at once anachronistic, they exist outside of the norms of traditional visual language themes in art history. They are visual music, tied to the primeval unconscious memory that is our biological heritage.
